Egyptian 122 mm rockets

According to Jane's Armour and Artillery 1995-96 catalogue, 122 mm rockets (including SAKR types) were manufactured on the basis of joint production with several European companies. The projectile body was supplied by Vickers, SAKR BayernChemie blended solid propellant from Germany, SNPE rocket engine from France (with its explosive composition from E Lacroix).

The head units were provided by the Abu Zaabal Company for Speciality Chemicals Factory No. 18, which was also responsible for the production of explosives and head unit equipment. A copy of the Soviet MRV-U shock fuse with small and large deceleration units for 122 mm caliber rockets was also produced by El Maasara Company for Engineering Industries Factory No. 45 (Plant No. 45 of the Engineering Industry).
