Scheme of attack of "Cube" SAM system by a couple of planes

Effective tactics of attacking a couple of aircraft, based on limited tracking speed and range of escorting the Cube SAM system. Two Phantom and Skyhawk aircraft were approaching the SAM positions at high altitude, one above the other: the first aircraft, the Phantom, was to eject a large number of UFOs and IR traps to suppress the radar and guidance systems of the enemy, thus providing Skyhawk to dive to the target and drop its bombs or missiles with a good chance of success and return.

These tactics were based on very energetic maneuvers that could not track the guidance systems of the SAM; such piloting required exceptional endurance and coordination among pilots.
